MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
3 1/2 to 4 qts. popped popcorn
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Pop the corn and pour into a large brown grocery bag (do not use recycled bags). In a 2 quart bowl combine sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a full rolling boil. This takes 3 to 5 minutes in microwave. Remove and stir in soda. Mix well until foamy and then pour syrup over popcorn in bag. Close bag and shake well.

Microwave 1 minute, shake, microwave 1 minute, shake, microwave 30 seconds, shake, microwave 30 seconds. Cool on a large cookie sheet. Store in covered container.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
