MICROWAVE CARAMEL POPCORN | |
4 or 5 qt. popped corn 1 stick butter 1 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. light corn syrup 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda Melt butter. Mix butter, sugar, corn syrup, and salt together and cook mixture at 100% power (high) until it boils, then continue to cook for 2 minutes. Add soda and stir. Pour over popped corn and shake well. Cook for 4 minutes on high, shaking well every 45 seconds. (Works best in a heavy paper bag.) Place on cookie sheet or wax paper to cool and separate. Store in an airtight container. |
