MICROWAVE POPCORN 
2 to 3 qts. popped corn
1 c. sugar
1/4 lb. or 1 stick butter
1/4 c. syrup (white, brown or sorghum may be used)
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Place popped corn in a brown grocery bag. Mix sugar, butter, syrup and salt in a large pyrex bowl or pitcher. Bring to a rolling boil (stir a couple times). When it is boiling set timer for 2 minutes of boiling. Then add soda and stir well. Dump this hot syrup on top of corn in the bag. Shake microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake, microwave 1 1/2 minutes. Shake and eat!

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
