CURRIED CORN CHOWDER 
16 oz. pkg. frozen whole kernel corn
1 c. chopped red and green sweet pepper
1 c. chicken broth
2 to 3 tsp. curry powder
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk or cream
16 oz. can cream style corn
Chopped peanuts and snipped raisins or thinly sliced apples if desired

In a large saucepan combine frozen corn, sweet pepper, 1/2 cup of the chicken broth, curry powder and garlic. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 3 minutes. Combine flour, salt and remaining chicken broth stir into corn mixture. Stir in milk and cream style corn. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1 minute more. If desired garnish each serving with peanuts and raisins or apple slices. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
