CHOCOLATE OATMEAL CAKE 
1 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. butter
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Place oats and butter in small bowl. Pour in boiling water; cover and let stand 20 minutes.

Mix sugar and eggs; stir in dry ingredients and vanilla. Combine oats and egg mixture; pour into greased and floured 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees 25-30 minutes. Frost with butter-cream frosting.
