OATMEAL BROWNIES 
2 (1 oz. ea.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup rolled oats
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup all-purpose flour or 1/2 cup all-purpose flour and 1/4 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup grated or chopped walnuts

Blend chocolate and butter in top of double boiler. Melt. Add remaining ingredients. Mix. Spread in greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 325°F about 35 minutes. Cool 5 minutes and cut.
