CARAMEL OATMEAL BROWNIES 
CRUMB CRUST:

1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. quick-cooking rolled oats

TOPPING:

1/4 c. butter
1 (1 oz.) env. premelted unsweetened chocolate
3/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

CRUMB CRUST: Melt butter; add remaining ingredients and blend until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Press in ungreased 8-inch square pan.

TOPPING: Melt butter and chocolate together. Add remaining ingredients and blend well. Pour slowly over crumb crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Cool; cut into bars.
