2/3 c. sugar 1/3 c. water 3 tbsp. vegetable oil 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 egg whites, lightly beaten 1/2 c. all purpose flour 1/3 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked 1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa 3/4 tsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. salt Vegetable cooking spray 1 tsp. sifted powdered sugar Combine sugar, water, vegetable oil, and vanilla in a medium bowl; stir well. Add egg whites, and stir well. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients; add to sugar mixture, stirring well. Pour batter into an 8 inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 23 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool; sprinkle with sugar. Per serving: Calories: 126; Protein: 2.4; Fat: 4.1; Carbohydrate: 20.1; Cholesterol: 0; Iron: 0.7; Sodium: 52; Calcium: 19. 12 servings: (2 1/2 x 2 inch bars). |
