TURTLE BROWNIES 
1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
1 (48 1/2 oz.) German chocolate cake mix
1 c. nuts
2/3 c. (5 oz.) condensed milk
3/4 c. butter
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Combine caramels and 1/3 cup of the condensed milk in top of double boiler. Cook, stirring until caramels are melted. Remove from heat. Combine dry cake mix and rest of condensed milk, butter and nuts. Stir until dough holds together.

Press 1/2 into greased 13x4x2-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate morsels over crust. Pour caramels over chocolate morsels, spreading evenly. Crumble rest of cake mixture over caramel mixture and bake 15 or 18 minutes. Cool or chill 30 minutes. Cut into small bars.
