CRANBERRY SAUCE 
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 cinnamon stick, about 3" long
12 oz. pkg. fresh cranberries

In a saucepan mix sugar and water. Stir to dissolve sugar. Bring to a boil, then add cinnamon stick and cranberries. Return mixture to a boil, reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until cranberries have popped. Remove pan from heat. Cool completely at room temperature. Remove cinnamon stick and refrigerate. Makes about 2 1/4 cups.
