TOLL HOUSE DOUBLE CHOCOLATE
BROWNIES
 
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. water
12 oz. pkg. semi - sweet real chocolate morsels, divided
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In small sauce pan combine butter, sugar and water; bring just to a boil. Remove from heat. Add 6 ounces chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Stir until morsels melt and mixture is smooth. Transfer to large bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually blend in flour mixture Stir in remaining chocolate chips and nuts. Spread into greased 9 inch square baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes. Cool completely. Makes 16 (2 1/2 inch) squares.
