1/2 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 egg
3 c. plus 2 tbsp. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix ingredients and freeze dough. When you are ready to bake the cookies, break off pieces of dough and shape into small balls (about the size of a large grape). Place on greased baking sheet. Flatten with glass dipped in sugar.

Bake in 350°F oven about 13 minutes.
