GREEN BEANS WITH ALMONDS 
1 lb. very thin green beans
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. slivered almonds or sliced almonds
1/4 c. sliced scallions
Salt & freshly ground pepper

In a large pot steam beans until tender, but still very green. In a large skillet melt the butter, add the almonds and saute until golden brown. Add the scallions and cook gently until tender. Add the beans and salt and pepper to taste. Toss until hot and well combined. 4 servings.
