GREEN BEAN ALMONDS 
3 lb. green beans
Salt and pepper to taste
1 stick butter
1/2 c. slivered almonds

Cook beans in salted water 2 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside. Melt butter in the same pot. Add almond and saute very lightly. Just before serving, return beans to the pot and toss lightly over low heat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
