STEAK MARINADE 
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 sm. pieces ginger root

Combine all above ingredients in jar, cover and refrigerate to allow flavors to blend. Shake well before using. Marinate steaks (or chicken) at least 1 hour before cooking and baste frequently while broiling.
