BANANA MERINGUE CAKE PIE 
1 recipe 9 inch pie crust

FILLING:

1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/8 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. mashed ripe banana
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
6 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Beat egg and add to creamed mixture. Beat until fluffy. Add flour, soda, salt and baking powder. Combine bananas and milk and add to mixture, alternating with flour mixture.

Bake in pie shell at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Beat meringue until stiff. Pour over pie and bake at 350 degrees until delicate brown.
