THE ULTIMATE CHOCOLATE BROWNIE 
4 sqs. (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. granulated sugar
3 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts, chopped (optional)

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Melt chocolate and butter together; combine with sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and nuts. Spread in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool and spread with frosting. Makes 4 dozen 1 1/2 inch squares.

FROSTING:

2 sqs. (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
2 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. plus 1 tsp. cream or evaporated milk
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Melt chocolate and butter together. Add cream, stir in powdered sugar. Beat until smooth.
