MICROWAVE VEGETABLE RICE PILAF 
1 c. uncooked long grain rice
1 c. water
1 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. shredded carrot
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green onion
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. chopped parsley

In 2 quart microwave bowl combine all ingredients except parsley. Cover with plastic wrap and micro High 5 minutes. Reduce power to medium. Micro 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid absorbed. Stir in parsley.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
