OVEN CARAMEL CORN 
2 c. brown sugar
2 sticks (1 c.) butter
1/2 c. white syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
9 qts. popped corn

Boil brown sugar, butter and syrup for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda, vanilla and cream of tartar. Pour immediately over popped corn and stir. Put in 2 large pans or 1 very large roaster. Heat in 225 degree oven for 3/4 to 1 hour. Stir every 10 minutes. Cool.
