MILK DIP 
3/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
3 c. milk
6 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix the sugar and cornstarch. Heat the milk in the top of a double boiler. Add the sugar mixture and cook until thickened, stirring to prevent lumping. Add the butter and vanilla. Serve each dumpling with a generous amount of Milk Dip.
