APRICOT BREAD 
1 c. chopped apricots
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. shortening
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. frozen orange juice
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Soak apricots in warm water for 30 minutes. Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, water and orange juice. Mix in dry ingredients. Add nuts and apricots (drained). Pour in greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.
