4 c. diced apples
2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. walnuts
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. Crisco oil
2 eggs, beaten

Step 1: Mix apples, sugar and walnuts together and let sit 1 hour, stirring often.

Step 2: Add dry ingredients to apple mixture. Then add oil, vanilla and eggs. Stir by hand. Pour in greased tube pan and bake at 350°F for 1 hour 15 minutes.
