HAWAIIAN NUT BREAD | |
2/3 c. sugar 1/3 c. shortening 2 eggs 1 c. mashed ripe bananas 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained 1/2 c. chopped nuts 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda In large bowl cream sugar and shortening until fluffy; beat in eggs stir in mashed bananas drained pineapple and nuts. Combine dry ingredients stir into banana mixture until smooth. Spoon into a greased pan. Bake 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool on rack. Wrap airtight in foil on plastic wrap. Let stand overnight for easy slicing. |
