SCALLOPED POTATOES CALIFORNIA 
1 (2 lbs.) pkg. frozen Ore-Ida hash browns
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 onion, chopped fine
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
2 c. Rice Krispies, crushed (measure after crushing)
1/2 c. butter, melted

Melt 1/2 cup butter and pour over frozen potatoes. Add sour cream, onion, soup, cheese, salt and pepper. Mix Rice Krispies and 1/2 cup melted butter. Sprinkle over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. May be made ahead, refrigerated overnight and then baked.
