SCOTCHEROOS 
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. peanut butter
Butter to grease pan
1 c. sugar
6 c. Rice Krispies

Grease 11x15 inch baking dish or pan, also large bowl may be buttered for easier mixing. Measure 6 cups Rice Krispies into large mixing bowl.

In small saucepan, measure 1 cup sugar and 1 cup Karo and bring to boil. Stirring constantly, boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and immediately add peanut butter. Mix peanut butter into hot syrup until smooth, pour over Rice Krispies and mix until all are coated with mixture. Pour immediately and spread out in buttered pan.

Original recipe calls for frosting with mixture of small package of chocolate chips and package of butterscotch chips melted together, but less sweet and calories if frosting is omitted.
