Leftover slices of tomato? Don't throw them away; put them in a pan with a little water, add sugar about 2/3 cup for 8 to 10 slices of tomatoes, a slice of lemon (if you have it) and cook down until it thickens and pour into a jelly glass, cover, put in the refrigerator and enjoy on toast. |
