CUT - OUT MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 tsp. each cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking soda, baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
4 to 4 1/2 c. flour

Bring to a boil sugars, molasses and vinegar. Remove from heat. Add shortening and stir to melt. Cool mixture slightly. Add 2 beaten eggs. Sift remaining ingredients together and add to first mixture. Refrigerate overnight. Roll out to thin layer and cut. Sprinkle with sugar, if desired. Bake at 375 degrees 6 to 9 minutes. Makes 6 to 10 dozen (depends on how thin you roll them.)
