BEEF AND BARLEY DINNER 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained & chopped
1 can tomato soup
1 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. barley

Brown ground beef, pepper, onion and garlic. Drain. Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. A little steak sauce or Worcestershire may be added if desired.
