Potatoes Red chilli powder to taste Salt to taste Lemon 1 cup gram flour 1 cup all purpose flour Oil for frying Boil and peel potatoes. In a small bowl, mix salt, red chilli powder and lemon juice to make a paste. Cut one potato in half. Take the half and cut it again in half. Cut the smaller piece in half, apply the chilli paste on one side and press the other half on it like a sandwich. Repeat the process with all the potatoes. Make a thick batter by mixing the flour, gram flour and water. Add in a little red chilli powder and salt. Heat oil. Put a few pieces at a time in the batter to coat the prepared potatoes and fry. Drain and serve with sweet imli chutney. |
