BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE | |
3 c. sugar 3 c. flour, plain 1 c. Crisco 6 eggs 1 c. buttermilk 1/3 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour and salt; add to creamed mixture. Last, mix soda in buttermilk and add to flour mixture; beat well. Add vanilla and blend well. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. |
