1 (8 oz.) pkg. Brown `n Serve sausage links 1 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 egg 3 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. milk Brown sausages in skillet or microwave. Drain on paper towel. Cut in 1/2 inch pieces when cool. Turn oven to 375 degrees. Measure the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a large mixing bowl. In a small bowl crack egg and beat lightly with a fork. Add milk and stir together. Melt butter in small saucepan or microwave. Add to egg mixture; stir to mix. Pour over flour mixture and stir. Mixture should be lumpy. Grease a 11 x 7 inch pan and pour batter into it. Sprinkle batter with the sausage pieces. Bake about 25 minutes or until golden brown. To serve, cut into squares and use butter and hot syrup. This is a very easy recipe, so my 11 year old can and does make it! We eat it for breakfast and supper when papa isn't home! |
