OLD FASHIONED BEEF STEW 
2 1/2 to 3 lbs. stew beef, cut into sm. cubes
1/4 c. flour
1 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. oil
1 c. each bouillon and water
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
4 to 6 cut up carrots
4 cut up potatoes
4 cut up turnips
Whole onions (sm.)

Coat meat with flour. Brown with chopped onion in oil in a large skillet. Add bouillon, water and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Cut up vegetables and cook. Combine in a large pot stew beef and vegetables. Simmer 30 minutes.
