CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. chocolate fudge cake mix
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten
Semi Sweet chocolate pieces

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease (not oil) and flour a 15x10 inch jelly roll pan or a 9x13 inch cake pan.

Combine first 4 ingredients. By hand, stir until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake jelly roll pan for 20-30 minutes, 9x13 inch pan for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

While bars cool, prepare frosting in small saucepan. In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over partially cooled bars. Makes 3 dozen bars.
