CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
Base:

1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus Devils Food cake mix
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
1 c. semi sweet chocolate pieces

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 15x10 inch pan.

In a large bowl, combine base ingredients; stir by hand until well mixed. Pour into pan. Bake 20 to 30 minutes.

In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a boil stirring constantly for 1 minute. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over warm base and cut into bars. Makes 3 dozen.
