CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
21 oz. can cherry pie mix
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using solid shortening or butter (not oil) grease and flour 15x10-inch jelly roll or 9x13-inch pan. In large bowl combine first 4 ingredients. By hand, stir until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake jelly roll pan 20-30 minutes; 9x13-inch pan 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
6 oz. pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces

In small saucepan combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over bars.
