GLADYS' CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix just until blended. Stir in flavoring. Pour batter into a greased and floured 12 cup Bundt cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove; let cool.
