ANGEL FLAKE BISCUITS | |
5 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 3 tsp. baking powder 4 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 3/4 c. butter or shortening 1 pkg. dry yeast 2 tbsp. warm water (to dissolve yeast) 2 c. buttermilk Sift all dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening; add buttermilk and yeast. Leave in mixing bowl and refrigerate overnight or until ready to use. Pinch off amount to be baked and knead about 20 seconds. Roll out and cut like biscuits. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. |
