FLAKE BISCUITS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
5 tbsp. lukewarm water
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk

Dissolve 1 package dry yeast in 5 tablespoons lukewarm water. Sift 5 cups flour with other dry ingredients. Into dry ingredients, cut 1 cup shortening with pastry blender and add 2 cups buttermilk, at room temperature, with yeast mixture to dry ingredients. Mix together and use or store in refrigerator until needed. Bake at 400 degrees.
