1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. Hershey Kisses

Sift together flour, soda and salt. Cream together butter, peanut butter, gradually add 1/2 cup sugar. Add 1 egg and vanilla. Beat well, blend in dry ingredients, gradually mix thoroughly. Shape dough into balls. Roll balls in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove sheet from oven and place chocolate kiss on top of each cookie pressing down firmly so that cookies crack around the edge. Return to oven and bake 2 to 4 minutes longer or until brown.
