SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE WITH
BROILED TOPPING
 
1 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda

TOPPING:

2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, melted
4 tsp. cream
1/2 c. coconut

Cream together sour cream and eggs until light and fluffy. Add sugar; mix well. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix well. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Just before cake is done, in a saucepan mix the topping ingredients and heat. When cake is done, pour topping over warm cake and broil until brown.
