SWISS STEAK ITALIAN 
2 lb. beef round steak
3 tbsp. butter
1/ tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
3 tbsp. all purpose flour
16 oz. can tomatoes
1/4 tsp. basil leaves
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese

Cut meat into serving pieces, coat with flour. Melt butter in a large covered skillet; brown meat slowly on all sides. Add tomatoes, salt, basil and pepper. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add onion and green pepper. Cook 25 to 30 additional minutes or until meat is tender. Top meat with cheese. Heat until cheese melts. Serves 6.
