MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white syrup
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Make 3 quarts popped popcorn. Combine sugar, syrup, butter and salt in a 2-quart bowl; bring to a boil, then cook on full power 2 minutes. Add soda.

Put popcorn in brown grocery bag. Pour syrup mixture over popcorn and shake bag. Put bag in microwave 1 1/2 minutes on high. Shake bag again. Return to microwave and cook another 1 1/2 minutes. Pour into pan and cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
