PECAN SPICE DROPS | |
1 cup butter, melted 2 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon each ground cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups chopped pecans In a mixing bowl, combine butter and sugar, Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, spices and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in pecans. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350°F for 12-14 minutes or until edges are firm. Remove to wire racks to cool. Yield: 4-1/2 dozen. Submitted by: Katie Baker |
