Sugar and Spiced Glazed Pecans

This is the first microwave glazed pecan recipe I have tried. I did not have halves so I used the pieces. I followed the recipe exactly but I had to nuke them only 2 mins as I could tell they were starting to scorch. My micro must cook hot! I thought these were good in-spite of the slight burnt taste. Next time I will know how to adjust my cook time. Thanks for the recipe.

Great recipe! I made these and carried them to my small group meeting and they were a hit. This recipe is so easy and so good.

This is the first time I have ever made these and they are addictive. I made them for a salad topping, but have been eating so many, I may not have any for tomorrow's salad. I used 1 1/2 cup pecan halves and dark brown sugar. Remember to separate when cooling, if you don't want them to be one big clump.

Very good glazing recipe and very easy to make. I made this to coat pecans and would suggest two things.

1. Make sure you use real butter not margarine.
2. I have a 1000 watt microwave so three minutes is too much. I did 1 1/2 minutes, stir and then add one minute. At the end of that minute, stir and spread on non stick surface. Let cool and enjoy. Very good.

Things started well, but 3 minutes of microwaving destroyed my batch of pecans (I was doing half a portion) and burnt them to a crisp. Waaaa! In the trash.
