1 c. sugar
1/2 c. (1 stick) melted butter
3-4 tbsp. bourbon (opt.)
1/2 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
1 unbaked 9" pastry shell
1 c. whipping cream

Beat eggs, sugar, butter and bourbon. Add flour, mixing well. Fold pecans, chocolate chips and vanilla into creamed mixture. Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Top with whipped cream, sweetened with powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon bourbon. You may top with Cool Whip or serve warm with ice cream. NOTE: This pie is a delicious variation of pecan pie as served during the Kentucky Derby festivities.
