2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 c. mashed Irish potatoes
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. sweet milk
2 c. flour
9 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and potatoes. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
