BEST SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
1 tsp. cider vinegar
1 c. sour cream
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and molasses. Stir in vinegar and sour cream. Blend well. Sift flour with cinnamon, ginger, soda and salt. Stir dry ingredients into first mixture until well mixed. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen.
