SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES | |
3/4 c. shortening 2 c. brown sugar 3 eggs 3/4 c. dark molasses 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. sour cream 5 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. ginger Cream shortening. Add sugar, creaming well. Add eggs. Beat well. Dissolve soda in the molasses and add to the creamed mixture, mixing well. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon and ginger; add alternately with the sour cream. Mix well. Chill thoroughly. Roll out on lightly floured board to 1/4 inch thickness and cut with desired cookie cutters. Place on greased baking sheet in 350 degree oven about 8-10 minutes. |
