SKILLET - FRIED APPLE RINGS 
4 lg. tart cooking apples
3 tbsp. Crisco
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt

Core but do not peel apples. Slice 1/2 inch thick to make rings. Melt Crisco in large skillet over medium-high heat. Place apples in skillet. Mix sugar, cinnamon and salt. Sprinkle half of sugar mixture over apples. After 3 minutes carefully turn apples using a pancake turner. Sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture. Cook 2 to 3 minutes longer or until apples are almost transparent. Serve hot.
