FRIED APPLES 
4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut in 1/8's
1/4 c. butter
1 c. water
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Bring butter, water and brown sugar to a boil. Add apples and vanilla and simmer 15 minutes. Turn heat off and let apples set in juice until cooled. 4-6 servings.
